If you have never played guitar or ukulele before, or it’s been a while so you think you have forgotten a lot or most things, then this class is for you. Used to learn at primary school but haven’t picked it up for a year? Perfect! Thinking about starting guitar or ukulele for the first time in the new year? This is for you! We will learn string names and a selection of up to ten basic chords- as well as some songs we can use these in along with some basic rhythms to use to strum. Each student will receive a course booklet with songs, chord diagrams and rhythm patterns. Guitars are supplied, but if you would like to bring your own, this is recommended. I also recommend that you attend more than one session- three is best. Up to 10 students per class.
So you’ve studied for a year already and know your basic chords? You’ve been away for a while and want to sharpen up again because you remember the basics? Want to get a boost before school starts again? Thses classes are perfect for you. Se will go through the basic chords- with a few twists. Learn how to practice barre chords starting with intervalic chords and arpeggios as well as some melodies using scales. e will then apply this to songs we will practice. Each student will receive a booklet containing all this information to keep. Guitars are supplied, but if you would like to bring your own, this is recommended. I also recommend that you attend more than one session- three is best. Up to 10 students per class.
For those who want to rock. You’ve been playing a few years, you know your basic chords as well as how to play power chords- or think you can tackle them pretty easily. We’ll learn how to make an electric guitar sound great, some essential techniques- including some you won’t have seen before. the rudiments of BEING an electric guitar play.er. Soloing and scale use, and how to write your own songs. We will learn songs which employ each technique taught. Can you find this stuff on the web? Yep. All in the same place? Nope. All with great teachers? Nope. Any that give you feedback on how well you’re doing or what you can do better? No way. Maximum of 6 students per class. Students must have their own guitar and bring it along- or ask me very nicely on a case by case basis. Three classes recommended. A course book will be given on all class material.
